description
A journey into the multiple rooms of a machine builder’s workshop, where several floors and engines evolve simultaneously. A place of sudden agitation, of ideas both clear and unclear that disappear just as quickly as they surge. A place inhabited by reflection, frustration, near-silence, hypnosis and obsession. Bringing into play the narrative qualities of acousmatic music, the piece’s structure is revealed as through the lens of a camera, flipping from one room to another. The rooms of the workshop are embedded in a cycle of compositions inspired by machines – real ones – that operate through physical mechanisms.
